For 800 years, the Rāyin empire has strived for peace. After escaping over 2000 years of slavery and oppression, they're taught to adhere rigidly to the structure and order that permits it.

Qi Kaido, a 16 year old highborn of Epōle, joins the Protectorate guild as a peaceman with the hopes of following his big brother's footsteps.
