MK Villanueva is an independent philosopher and writer whose work examines the nature of time, consciousness, personal identity, and mortality. She studied child development and communications before turning to the philosophical questions that had shaped her thinking since childhood.

Her work is shaped by two convictions: that philosophy must respect science without surrendering to it, and that grief is not a mistake to be corrected but a source of genuine insight. She did not come to this work through a physics department. Over several years she built and tested her own computational models of the early universe, comparing their output against public sky-survey data.
