When a deadly biohazard crisis befalls the residents of a small Mexican town, two disillusioned counter-terrorism agents are roused to act after identifying the perpetrator as their own police captain from decades past.
Our heroes are thrust into the heart of a terrifying new biohazard crisis in the small town of Rosa Enferma, Mexico, in the year 2021. But this time, multiple parties stand at attention, old and new, a division born of recent contentions. Before long, loyalties and values are put on trial, and no one is exempt. As our heroes move to investigate the origins of the mysterious new bioagent, battling undead monstrosities and uncovering the town's opaque history, old memories resurface, seeking to haunt and torment. One such ghost rises high above the rest, returning to his fleshly body, resurrected and whole.
In a truly momentous happening, Resurrection: A Biohazard Story, an independent action-horror-drama film inspired by the narratives of the Resident Evil games, has successfully reunited the original cast of the first game to star in an all-new original scenario.
Later the same year, a novella of the same name, chronicling the expanded version of the writer's original scenario, has surfaced. The time has come to enter the fullest version of that wondrous world!
