Turn a Best Sellers Rank into estimated copies — Kindle eBook or paperback — for a quick read of a listing.
Amazon does not publish sales from rank. Figures are estimates for Amazon.com paid ranks. Use KDP reports for actual units. For print royalty, try the KDP printing cost calculator.
Enter a Best Sellers Rank and click Calculate to see estimated copies per day, month, and year.
An Amazon book sales calculator converts a public Best Sellers Rank into a sketch of how many copies that listing might be moving. Authors use it to read a competitor, a comparable title, or a listing without opening KDP reports.
It is not Amazon’s dashboard. BSR is relative and noisy. Treat the output as a range, then confirm units in KDP if the title is yours.
Paste a paid Amazon Best Sellers Rank and get estimated copies per day, month, and year. Built for authors checking a listing or a competitor.
eBook and print ranks do not mean the same volume. Separate models are used so a #10,000 Kindle listing is not treated like a #10,000 paperback.
BSR swings through the day. Results show a mid estimate plus a rough band so a single hour’s rank is not treated as a sales report.
Product details → Amazon Best Sellers Rank. Use the paid Kindle Store or Books rank, not a free rank and not a narrow category rank.
Runs in the browser. No account, no upload. Pair with the printing-cost calculator when the next question is royalty, not unit volume.
Three steps: copy the paid store rank, choose eBook or print, read the estimate.
On the Amazon product page, scroll to Product details. Copy the paid rank in Kindle Store (eBook) or Books (paperback), not a category rank.
Paste the number and choose Kindle eBook or paperback. Sample ranks are there if you want to try the calculator first.
Copies per day, month, and year appear with a rough band. Treat the figures as a sketch — BSR is not a sales dashboard.
The number lives on the public product page, under Product details — not in ads reports.
On the book’s Amazon page, scroll past the description to Product details (sometimes labeled Product information).
Look for Amazon Best Sellers Rank. If the listing is free, the rank is a free rank and should not be entered here.
Copy the paid rank in Kindle Store or Books. Ignore “#12 in Romantic Suspense” style category lines — those ranks are not comparable.
