So what happens when your lies start running the show?
A Girl is a witty, funny romantic comedy with bite.
A sequel that doesn't exist.
An actress who desperately needs it.
A spectacular mess.
Emmett can b******t the paint off a wall.
It's basically how he makes a living.
So when he runs into Tika—an actress whose career and marriage are flatlining—he does what he does best.
He spins a lie.
A big one.
He convinces her he's producing the sequel to a '90s cult rom-com.
And of course, there's a part waiting for her.
To keep the con alive, Emmett ropes in Brynn—the former child star of the original film, now a broke single mom trying to stay afloat.
With every new lie, the mess grows bigger and the truth gets shakier, forcing everyone involved to decide just how far they're willing to go for a second chance.
Grab the popcorn. This rom-com about making a fake rom-com is binge-worthy, sexy, laugh-out-loud funny, oddly sweet, and deliciously meta—a love letter to '90s rom-coms with a sharp modern edge.
