Colin Kelly

I am the Director and primary shareholder of CTC Consulting Group Pty Ltd, a business consulting company based in Newcastle NSW, Australia. I entered the consulting world in 2002, after some twenty years in corporate, working for large publicly listed industrial based companies and large US privately owned businesses. I decided on consulting for two reasons. One, I was sick of the large consulting houses pinching all my ideas whenever I was forced to be on one of those time wasting 'improvement' projects and, secondly I wanted more control over my time - a finite resource that is vastly under valued in the corporate world. Despite having a passion for writing ever since my school days, my short form writing was acceptable, but my long form was very ordinary. Luckily I had a good mentor when I first started in consulting who very appropriately said "in the world of consulting you write for your life." He helped me to develop the discipline I needed to be a better writer.
