Q. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what inspired you to become a writer?
Ans. For over forty years, I taught Mathematics and Philosophy. Yet it was the quiet act of collecting quotes — since 2003 — that awakened my voice as a writer. I found it remarkable how a single sentence could uplift a weary heart. That quiet power inspired me to share timeless wisdom with the world.
Q. What genre(s) do you primarily write in, and what draws you to that particular genre?
Ans. I write inspirational nonfiction rooted in wisdom literature. I’m drawn to it because it bridges the head and the heart, offering clarity, courage, and comfort for life’s unpredictable journey.
Q. What is your favorite book, and what about it resonates with you the most?
Ans. _Viktor Frankl’s_ Man’s Search for Meaning resonates deeply with me. It echoes a core conviction in my writing: even in suffering, we can uncover profound purpose.
Q. Who is your favorite author, and how have they influenced your writing?
Ans. I deeply admire Ralph Waldo Emerson and C.S. Lewis. Their gift for distilling life’s deepest truths into accessible, soul-stirring words has shaped how I curate and present wisdom in my work.
Q. How do you balance writing with other aspects of your life, such as work, family, or hobbies?
Ans. Now retired, I’ve found a rhythm between writing, tending my garden, playing checkers, and engaging with my community. For me, writing flows best when I’m fully present in life — not only reflecting on it, but living it.
Q. How do you show appreciation and love to your followers and readers? Do you actively engage with them on social media or through other means?
Ans. I express gratitude through heartfelt responses, inspirational content, book giveaways, and thoughtful posts. Though I'm not always online, when I do connect, I aim for depth over frequency — authentic, meaningful exchanges matter most to me.
Q. What do you enjoy most about being an author, and what keeps you motivated to continue writing?
Ans. I love watching timeless truths breathe hope into someone’s day. What keeps me going is the belief that even a single well-placed thought can change a perspective — or possibly save a life.
Q. Have you ever faced writer's block, and if so, how do you overcome it?
Ans. Certainly. When I feel blocked, I turn to the words of others — especially thinkers who’ve grappled with life’s deepest questions. Their wisdom has a way of rekindling my spark.
Q. Can you share any interesting or funny anecdotes from your writing journey?
Ans. Years ago, I lost a cherished booklet filled with quotes I’d collected for over a decade. I later found it, dusty and half-eaten by worms, tucked behind my bookshelf. It felt like uncovering buried treasure — a reminder that truth endures even in silence.
Q. What advice would you give to aspiring authors who are just starting their writing journey?
Ans. Write what moves you — what you know, love, and wrestle with. Be consistent, stay curious, and above all, trust the strength of your authentic voice.
Q. Do you have any upcoming projects or works in progress that you'd like to share with your readers?
Ans. Yes, I’m currently working on reflective devotionals and thematic collections that blend spiritual insight with everyday wisdom. I think of them as quiet companions for those navigating turning points in life.
Q. Finally, what are your goals and aspirations as a writer? Where do you see yourself and your writing career in the future?
Ans. I hope to create a lasting legacy of wisdom-rich literature — a light for readers, especially the young and those in crisis. I envision the Knowledge and Wisdom series finding a home in schools, living rooms, and hearts across the globe. Still in Bamenda, reflecting — but with more books in the hands of readers around the world. I dream of seeing my work used not only as reading material, but as nourishment for the spirit, wherever wisdom is welcome.
