I started looking for my genre by writing short stories. I had different jobs throughout my long life. I worked for the British police and spent 17 years as a science teacher, and now I am a counsellor. My crime stories, psychological dramas, even romance and horror were good, because I used my experience with people and always had a message to deliver. But I loved reading and writing sci-fi the best. I loved fantasy too, but only when I started playing did I realise that this is my niche. It felt like litrpg books wrote themselves in my head. I can just sit back and enjoy the story.
