Dana Lockhart

Dana Lockhart grew up on the outskirts of a town of 199 people, but the small-town life couldn’t contain her spirit. She yearned for something more adventurous and worthwhile, and, more than anything, for her voice to be heard. However, she’s still trying to find out where she belongs.

She has since sought careers in helping others, including in local government, non-profits, and legal services. Her proudest achievement is being elected the first vice president of the Hannibal Writers Guild in 2018, and later the president in 2019. She writes with the intent to explore the deeper and sometimes darker corners of the human soul, casting light where otherwise there might be a misunderstood shadow.

Dana Lockhart primarily writes urban fantasy, ranging from young adult to adult. She’s also been known to write a short story or poem now and then. She lives a modest life on the banks of the Mississippi River with her two cats, Nimble and Binx.
