Sharon Overend

SHARON OVEREND, is an award-winning author whose fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry has appeared in Canadian, American and British literary journals and anthologies including Antigonish Review, Avalon, Descant, Grain, Matters of Time, Spirit of the Hills, Surfacing, Wild Words, Word Weaver, UK’s Dream Catcher, CafeLit, The Best of CafeLit and A Coup of Owls. In 2010, she won the Random House Student Award from the University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies, and in 2018 won the Rotary Club (Stratford Ontario Writers’ Festival) Short Story contest. She was long-listed for the 2018 Commonwealth Short Story Prize. and was nominated for a Journey Prize.

Sharon and her husband live on a 156-acre country property where she has found inspiration for many of her projects.
